Latest Match Report — 25/03/2012
CRFC (5) vs (2) Carshalton - Sunday 25th March - Goals Tolworth
A great morning was in store when keeper Max Chilton charged out from his goal line to make a great save after 5 mins. This gave us the platform to play our attacking game and a goal from Spencer Brittle was 1st reward. The goal appeared to have an affect on Carshalton which allowed Edward (ill but committed) Anscomb to score 2 goals in quick succession.
From kick-off Carshalton scored with a great shot from outside of box so 3-1 half time to the royals.
The 2nd half could have gone either way as from the kick off Carshalton scored to make it 3-2 and the mangement team was beginning to worry about where this might go but Jack McWhirter had different ideas and scored his 2nd in 3 games to create a 2 goal gap before Edward completed his hat-trick for 5-2.
In summary, Max and defence very solid again, Haughey/Shearman very busy up/down + Jack, Edward unassuming performance with 3 goals, Spencer a real nuisance upfront which made the difference today.
Passing was excellent and closing down was 1st rate- couldn’t ask for more!
Great way to finish the league season. . . Easter break coming and some final fixtures before preparing for U8 football!

Results
| Date | Opponent | Summary |
|---|---|---|
| 11th September 2011 | Carshalton Athletic Reds (A) | Conceded 3 Goals in the 1st Half and defended well not to conceed any in the 2nd. Passed the ball very well, couldnt convert chances. MOM - Spencer Brittle |
| 18th September |
Esher Rangers (H) |
Played the best 1st half of football so far this season and could have easily scored a couple of goals. Fought very hard in the 2nd half and deservedly scored our 1st goal of the season. MOM - Connor Hays |
| 25th September |
Spelthorne (H) |
Shared 6 goals but both sides could have had a couple more. Team taking shape with James Kotze adapting well to his role on the right side of midfield. MOM - James Kotze |
| 2nd October | (H) Rocks Lane | Comprehensive performance with Edward Anscomb running the show. |
| 9th October | (A) Molesey Hurricanes | Battled hard for 40 minutes and scored the best goal of the game via a passing move involving all 6 outfield players. |
| 16th October | Assessment Day | Played 4, Won 2, Drew 1 and Lost 1 - Should be placed in the middle tier of 3 divisions. |
| 23rd October | Half Term | |
| 30th October | Half Term | |
| 6th November | (A) Old Isleworthians Reds | Shared a reported 6 goals with a fine team. Parents enjoyed the game with a fellow parent from the opposition by the name of Florent Malouda |
| 13th November | (H) Molesey Juniors | Full on 40 minute combative performance combined with an excellent finish from Anscomb. Team clearly learnt the lessons from the game the previous week. M.O.M - Connor Hays |
| 20th November | (A) Spelthorne | An impressive performance all round from both sides. The Royals better in possession than out of it. Various candidates for M.O.M but Shearman takes it because he took the lessons of Saturday's training into the match. |
| 27th November | (H) Spelthorne | 2nd goal another example of great passing so the theme maintained from week before. Jack McWhirter took his chance today and secured a well deserved man of the match with a display of intelligent passing and a combative approach. |
| 4th December | (A) Carshalton Athletic Reds | For those who witnessed the 1st match against the Reds back in September they can see the positive development of the group on the evidence of this match. Imperious in the 2nd half was Mr Anscomb |
| 11th December | (H) Esher Rangers | Made every effort to get on top of this game but halted by a physically strong side who all all seem to eat their weetabix. Created several chances which in previous weeks would have been taken. Spencer Brittle had a tough day and week. A good kid who deserved his M.O.M award. |
| 8th January 2012 | (A) Carshalton Athletic Reds | Deja vous from 4th December! |
| 15th January 2012 | (H) Old Isleworthians Reds | Knew what we were in for and went about the game with gusto. Our efforts paid off with 2 good goals. Max Chilton was thrown in at the deep end in defence and came out of it with flying colours. Very intelligent in defence and deserved being M.O.M |
| 22nd January 2012 | (A) Molesey Juniors | On the UK's smallest pitch the wind blew away our normal spirit in this one. Tried several combinations to spark a revival but just wasnt to be. Brittle M.O.M for a series of outstanding saves which kept the goal tally in single figures. |
| 29th January 2012 | (A) AC Fulham | 1st encounter with AC Fulham this season. Team changed around to try a few things out and looked good however lost our shooting boots. Immense top corner finish from Brittle. Chilton finding his feet at the back in defence. |
| 18th February 2012 | (H) Badshot Lea | Badshot chosen opponents as played them a year ago when team 1st set up. the evidence of the game suggests we have progressed significantly in terms of our play in possession but struggle in the physical department when off the ball. More than happy for it to remain that way. |
| 25th February 2012 | (H) Carshalton | A usual competitive struggle with Carshalton which was a fantastic advert for youth football. Passing from both sides excellent, intelligent defending from both teams to. One final attempt at getting a positive result in a few weeks time but fortunately have always had positive performances which is much more important. |
| 4th March 2012 | (H) Molesey Juniors | 2 very equally matched sides once again pitted their wits against each other and again a great game. Also pleasing was the staying power of the team considering we had 7 only. Foot injuries currently plaguing the squad. Thomas Shearman's best half of football in the 2nd half as right winger. Think Walcott but with a final ball! |
| 11th March 2012 | (H) AC Fulham | Started the game like a bullet train which made all the difference. Great use of the full pitch today with crosses coming in from deep from both right and left. We really do play with a good shape and have the right players for the positions they play. |
| 18th March 2012 | (A) Esher Rangers | Eshers collection of players remain a challenge for CRFC. Like for like on ability but pace, power and speed of thought still catching up. Plenty of time to catch up over the coming years. |
| 25th March 2012 | (H) Carshalton | At the 5th attempt this season against Carshalton we converted our chances. Build up play and closing down 1st rate. A great way to end the league season. |
